well, a while ago i ate at iHOP an that was the first last and only time i ate there. the foo was not the best i ever had.oh by the way if my laptop is kinda sucky and sometimes the d key wont work. ill try to correct it if i can but i might miss one sometimes. And heres the lasagna recipe.
neeed: 2 lbs hamburger meat, 1/2 cup minced onion, 2 cloves of crushed garlic, 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes, 2 6oz cans of tomato paste, 2 8oz cans of tomato sauce, 1/2 cup of water, 2 Tbs of white sugar, 1 1/2 tsp of dried basil leaves, 1 Tbs salt, 1/4 tsp of black pepper, 4 Tbs of parsly, 12 lasagna noodles, 16oz ricotta cheese, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp salt, 16oz FRESH mozzarella cheese, 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, and 2 bay leaves.
And now the recipe.
- brown the hamburger, onion, and garlic in a pot (strain the grease). Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Also add the sugar, basil, bay leaves, 1 Tbls salt, pepper, and 2 Tbs parsley. Simmer covered for about 1 1/2 hrs, stirring occasionally.
- Bring large pot of water to boil (w/ olive oil). Cook lasagna noodles for about 10 mins. Drain noodles and rinse w/ cold water. In a lg mixing bowl combine ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, and 1/2 tsp salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- To assemble add about 2 – 2 1/2 cups meat to bottom of a 9×13 pan. Arrange 6 noodles on top of mix. Layer 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top w/ half the meat sauce and half the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
- bake in preheated oven 375 degrees w/ tinfoil on top for 25 mins. After 25 mins take off tinfoil and continue baking for another 25 mins. Let set for 10 mins before cutting into it. Enjoy!
